Tx Doctor / Solana error library / Token account is frozen
Solana error: Token account is frozen (0x11)
The token's issuer froze this token account, so it cannot send or receive that token until the issuer unfreezes it.
Why it happens
- Mints created with a freeze authority allow the issuer to freeze individual token accounts - common for regulated stablecoins and some launchpads.
- The freeze is applied to the account, not the wallet, so other tokens in the same wallet are unaffected.
- Trying to swap or transfer the frozen token will always fail with this code until the issuer acts.
How to fix it
- Contact the token issuer - only the freeze authority can unfreeze the account.
- Verify on a block explorer that the account really shows as frozen before assuming a wallet bug.
- Do not pay anyone who claims they can unfreeze it for a fee; only the issuer's authority key can do this.
