Solana error: Blockhash not found (expired) (BlockhashNotFound)
The transaction referenced a recent blockhash that has already expired, so the network refuses to process it. This is a timeout, not a failure of your funds.
Why it happens
- A Solana blockhash is valid for roughly 60 to 90 seconds. If the transaction is signed and then not submitted in time, it is rejected.
- A wallet that is offline, a phone that locks, or a confirmation screen left open too long all cause this.
- It also happens when the network is congested and the transaction is dropped before landing.
How to fix it
- Simply retry - your wallet will fetch a fresh blockhash and sign again.
- Keep the confirmation screen in the foreground until the transaction is submitted.
- Add a higher priority fee during busy periods so the transaction lands inside the blockhash window.
