Tx Doctor / Solana error library / Slippage tolerance exceeded
Solana error: Slippage tolerance exceeded (0x1771)
The price moved further than the slippage you allowed, so the router refused to fill the trade and cancelled it. Nothing was swapped and no tokens moved.
Why it happens
- Slippage is a maximum acceptable price drift. If the pool price is outside that band when the transaction lands, the program aborts on purpose.
- Common in fast-moving or thin markets: new token launches, low-liquidity pools, or a busy block where your transaction sat for several seconds.
- It is also the single most common error on Solana DEX aggregators, so seeing it does not mean your wallet or funds are broken.
How to fix it
- Raise the slippage limit slightly (for example 0.5% to 1% on liquid pairs) and retry - but never set a very high value on a thin token, that is how you get filled at a terrible price.
- Reduce the trade size so the pool impact stays inside your tolerance.
- Increase the priority fee so the transaction lands in the next block instead of waiting.
- If it fails repeatedly on the same pair with high slippage, the pool liquidity is probably too thin - pick a different route or pool.
